Brief Answer:
Clostridium Difficile is treated with pro biotics

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

The symptoms of C Difficle infections are severe crampy abdominal pain, diarrhea and fever.

C Difficle infection is most often caused due to replacement of the normal gut flora with C difficle colony secondary to antibiotic use.
I treat my patients with C Diff infection by stopping the offending antibiotic if possible ( unless it is life saving) and placing them on probiotics like Tab Sporolac two tablets three times daily.
If the antibiotic cannot be stopped, lets say for example while treating for meningo encephalitis then I add on metronidazole tablets.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

I wish you good health

Regards
