Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of An Enlarged Prostate
Question: I am an 86 year man & i have been on rapaflo for several years. Ijust have a TAVR heart valve
put in. I get tired & must rest a lot. I also have severe spinal stenosis & use a walker.
Must sit to urinate & relax to let urin to flow. Can rapaflo be a problem to me?

You have been known to have obstructive voiding symptoms due o enlarged prostate and have been taking Rapaflo (Silodosin ) since many years .
You have recently undergon surgerty of Aortic Valve Replacement .
Silodsin is an alpha blocker and has selective action in smooth muscles in prostate and bladder neck.It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and the bladder neck This helps to relieve symptoms of enlarged Prostate such as difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate often or urgently.
You can continue taking Rapaflow .
