Question: I am 5'6, 130 pound 22 year old. My normal resting heart rate is around 70bpm. I and many of my pharmacy classmates just took my heart rate and it was around 110 bpm. I also have a little pain in my chest but nothing bad but i do have a terrible headache. Is this something that i should be worried about?

Brief Answer:
Tachycardia with headache

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your medical question and concerns.

I am sorry to hear that you are having sudden onset of tachycardia chest pain and a headache. This new elevation in heart rate is concerning and may be related to fever, heart disease, anemia or to medication. Since this is new and there are other factors, chest pain and headache that are worrisome, I would recommend that you seek medical attention immediately.
