Suggest Treatment For Tear At Back Of Eye
They are different conditions.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for posting your medical question here on HCM.
I read carefully your query.
A small bleed in back of eye is not the same as a tear.
A small bleed may have occurred due to the rupture of a tiny blood vessel in the back of your eye.
Many conditions like high blood pressure and Diabetes can damage these tiny blood vessels and they may rupture causing a minor bleeding.
Usually there is no permanent damage and the blood is reabsorbed gradually.
A tear in back of eye is a different thing.
The back cavity of the inner eye is filled with clear jelly called vitreous. As we age, the vitreous fibers condense, "liquefy" and may pull forward or "collapse." When this happens, the vitreous separates from the retina. In the majority of patients, the vitreous gel separates completely and without problems. In some patients, however, the vitreous is more adherent, and the separation can cause a tear in the retina.
This can result in the eye seeing flashes and floaters.
Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

might be due to head trauma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
I apologize for the delay in answering you.
This small bleed in the back of your eye might be due to the head trauma that you suffered.Due to this trauma a tiny vessel in the back of your eye is ruptured causing this small bleeding.
Since your eye and your vision were normal in the examination (beside this small bleeding) you don't need to worry .The blood will be absorbed gradually.
Since you measure your blood pressure and you don't have high blood pressure ,I would suggest to test your blood sugar just to be sure that you don't have Diabetes.
I wish you all the best.
Take care,
Dr.Rovena
I hit my head really hard, I mean I saw stars, really hard a little while back. It scared me and I had to compose myself. Maybe that is it.
Thank you for your answer.
most likely it is due to head trauma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Since you don't have high blood pressure or diabetes and the eye examination didn't find anything wrong (abnormal blood vessels in the back of the eye indicate specific disease) ,then the only explanation for this small bleed is the head trauma you had.
If this small bleed was due to a specific condition (means vascular condition ,diabetes, high blood pressure , blood disorders etc) you would have also other symptoms and specific findings in eye examination.
Don't need to worry about that. The blood would be reabsorbed gradually.
Take care,
Dr.Rovena
