Is Sciatica A Side Effect Of Taking Vitamin E?

I just found out I have gallstones but they are floaters and I have no pain - My Dr told me to take 800 IU of vitamin E. Since I stared taking them, my hip and sciatica seems to be acting up. If I have NO abdominal pain and NO nausea. Is the sciatica a coincidance or is it from the Vitamin E. Plus should I be taking all 800 IU at one time or 400 IU twice a day after meals?

Hi,

Taking vitamin E supplements and sciatica has no link. Sciatica is caused by nerve impingement caused by slipped or herniated discs at Lumbosacral area of spine. Taking vitamin E.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
