Suggest Treatment For Throat Irritation Along With A Blister On The Uvula

Question: hi Doctor
I am facing throat irritation from past 2 days
days back it was itching a lot ,today I noticed some blister on uvula, I am we year male smoke regularly, I don't have diabetics or any other problems
please help me with my problem

Thank you for posting this query.

I have examined the image thoroughly and I am of the opinion that there is uvulitis (inflammation of the uvula).

Do not worry! It is not a serious issue. The swelling over the uvula could be due to either viral infection or trauma.

You need to follow the below mentioned to get relief:
1. Drink frequent sips of warm water
2. Avoid very hot/chilled beverages
3. Avoid smoking/fizzy drinks
4. Try taking medicines such as diclofenac or ibuprofen to reduce the swelling
5. Do gargles with dilute povidone iodine
