Suggest Treatment For Throbbing Ear Pain With Yellow Discharge

I was having throbbing ear pain with yellow discharge for about 2 weeks intermittently. Went to ENT and had an acute otitis media to left ear. Having been taking Neomycin ear drops three times a day. Taking it now for three days. Pain and throbbing felt better, hardly felt any pain and did not notice any more discharge. Need to take the drops for 7 days. Went for my first Epley manuever because was diagnosed with bilateral benign positional vertigo. Shortly thereafter, I have been having burning throbbing pain in the left ear with severe itching, even pain when I pull down on my ear lobe. The weather has been so unpredictable with changes in warm then severely cold weather plus it has been windy. Is this pain common even though I started to feel better, could it be caused windy weather? The Epley manuever was done to might ear only. Need to go back and get my left ear done. Thank you for your help.
Acute otitis media with otitis externa
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query
You are having otitis media with external ear infection possibly a fungal infection due to the discharge in the ear. Use an antifungal ear drops along with antibiotic ear drops. Take a combination of diclofenac and serratiopeptidase twice daily. Take an oral antibiotic also. Also take nasal decongestant drops and steam inhalation for quicker relief.
Keep the ear dry and plug while taking a bath. It will subside in few days.
avoid the epleys manoeuvre till this episode subsides as sometimes in otitis media there is vertigo also which will subside as the infection is treated.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks and regards
