Your symptoms of throwing out mucus in the morning seems to be of allergic origine as your doctors consider it ,still other causes of for constant symotoms must be assesed.Built up of excessive mucus in throat could be from..
Problem in upper respiratory passage.caused by chronic infection ,allergy(food like milk & milk products/ inhalant allergen like smoking ,air pollution, dust -even bed dust,pollens or exposure to cold air .. a/c etc),& anxiety.
*I would suggest you to consult an ENT surgeon .. in this context... to exclude any chronic infection of throat , by examination of oral cavity & necessory investigations/ get your allergy screening test done to detect allergen.
This would be followed by specific medication like anti allergic medicine..which you have been taking all these days along with montelucast pills to control allergic reaction & antibiotic as per need.
