Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation for Malabsorption.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Greetings from Dr Divakara P.
Thanks for posting your query.

I went through your query and also your past discussion with the doctor.

There are two issues here.

1. Malabsorption.
2. Weakness.

By weakness what exactly you mean? She had a stroke with paralysis of one side of body, by weakness do you mean even the strength in other side is also deteriorating or what ?

Regarding malabsorption she needs to undergo certain evaluation. We need to find why she is getting these stomach issues after the stroke. One easy explanation is lack of physical activity causes indigestion and malabsorption.

But apart from this we need to check if there are any other problem in digestion or absorption in her. In this regard I advise you to get the following tests done and revert back to me.

Liver function test, Serum Lipase, stool for fat.,stool for occult blood and Complete Hemogram.

She can continue Critipro but try to include more of cooked vegetables and avoid milk , curds , buttermilk and ghee.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.

Regards
