Suggest Treatment For Urethral Abscess

default
Posted on Sat, 12 Mar 2016
Question: hello, since a couple years I feel more sensitive on sexual activity. Last year I noticed a I have a bump at the end of urethra on right side, it flares when squeezing the head of the penis but there is no hard lump below the skin. Its not painful but annoying with stinging sensation worst after peeing or sexual activity. There is no blood. After sexual activity if the gland is squeezed it shows a bump on penis as if the bump in urethra/meatus protrudes.

Brief Answer:
Could be a Urethral abscess or a granuloma .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts and photograph that you have posted it appears that you have a bump on the Rt side of urethral opening .

This could be mostly one of the following two reasons
1) Peri Urethral abscess
2) Granuloma due to chronic infection .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.

Further treatment will depend upon clinical finding and result of these test and final diagnosis.

He may advise you to get it incised and drained under anesthesia .

In the mean while start taking antibiotics like Doxicycline along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
