Question: 70 year old with vaginal itching and spotty bleeding when wiping. On inspection see three red areas where when dabbed blood on tissue.
Brief Answer:
Spotting may be to vaginal atrophy
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for trusting to us.
As per your scenario bleeding with itching may be due to vaginal atrophy from insufficiency of female hormones but we can't exclude any other reasons.
Hence If you have possibilities please upload a picture of red areas on your genitals.
For the moment have Sitz baths adding betadine and hydratant creams.
All the best

No pic available. No fever. Appears on inner side of fold of vaginal wall. No real raised areas. Wiping seems to irritate. Only notice blood after wiping.
Brief Answer:
Go for a transvaginal scan
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
In fact ,while you have vaginal itching with small lesions and vaginal spotting ,it seems to be more a benign issue ,as I mentioned above:vaginal atrophy.
But we can't exclude any serious issue ,such as endometrial cancer .
Hence contact with a gynecologist to have a transvaginal scan to exclude any malignant issue.
