Brief Answer:
Labrynthitis, steroids + labyrinthine sedatives.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Vertigo at this age can be because of many reasons. But after clinical examination if your doctor has said it's because of infection, then probably must be because of inner ear disease like labrynthitis.

Treatment is with antibiotics, steroids and labrynthine sedatives for 6 to 8 weeks following vestibular rehabilitation exercises. All this needs clinical evaluation and medical assistance. None of the medications are available over the counter.

So I would suggest you to continue medication as advised by your doctor, if an ENT specialist or consult with your ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope my answers have helped you.

Thanks.
