Suggest Treatment For Vertigo
Providing it's benign positional vertigo, there is a technique for treating
Detailed Answer:
There are several different causes for vertigo. There is a non medication treatment for benign positional vertigo (BPPV). I'll get to that in a minute. First a bit about the different causes.
Benign postitional vertigo or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is from deposits in the inner ear being where they shouldn't and triggering the motion sensors. And there is a technique for dispersing the clump of (usually calcium deposit) particles. BPPV is the most common form of vertigo and seemingly comes out of nowhere.
Meniere's disease has symptoms of vertigo, ear ringing (tinnitus) and hearing loss.
Vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis from viral infections or other infections.
Migraine headaches can also cause vertigo (usually with photophobia, nausea, and of course a bad headache).
Other forms of vertigo that happen less frequently include trauma (head/neck injuries), stroke or brain tumor, medications that cause damage to the ears such as some antibiotics.
Assuming what you have is BPPV, here is a technique for getting rid of it.

If this doesn't help, there is also a physical head turning maneuver that ENT/otolaryngologists can do to help.
