Suggest Treatment For Vitiligo On The Forehead
Question: CURE for small patches spots of vitiligo on forehead/
Brief Answer:
Steroids and UV light
Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for your questions.
There are two types of treatments for vitiligo. One is steroids and the other is narrow band UVB radiation. If the patches are extensive then oral steroids are used if not then topical steroids are usually tried. This high potency topical steroid or oral prednisone would both be prescription only. Only low potency topical steroids are available over the counter.
The second approach is to use Narrow Band UVB radiation. This would most likely need to be done in a dermatologist's office.
There are no over the counter medications or treatments that will treat vitiligo. Your best bet is to see a dermatologist as soon as possible
