Suggest Treatment For Weakness And Pain On Side Of Ribs

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Feb 2015
Question: A few days ago I had general weakness and serious pain on my upper right side from ribs to stomach. Next day pain shifted to severe across middle stomach with a few minute loss of equilibrium in the morning which ended quickly. Yesterday and today, I am feeling less weak, but the pain now is very low, above the testicles, seeming to be moving downward. I am feeling stronger. I am 75 years old, exercising every day in a real way and working full tme in my practice as an attorney. In 50 years have not lost more than 4 or 5 days to general sickness, only surgeries. Does this sound like flu symptoms slowly healing? thank you.

Brief Answer:
These could be the flu symptoms self resolving

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. I adore your healthy lifestyle which has payed already by keeping your 75 years healthy so far.
Pain in stomach gradually shifting from upper quadrants to lower and slowly resolving sounds like a functional bowel pain and yes stomach flu or gastroenteritis in its mild form may present this way.
equilibrium loss with gastrointestinal discomfort is common and connected and one's imbalance leads to other's imbalance. That is self resolving too.
If you have healthy bowel movements now and no cramps or difficulty passing stools etc then you are good to go.
Just maintain your diet and use fibres in it. Judicious water intake and good toilet habits will make sure your GI tract stays healthy.
Rest assured i don't see any thing as a matter of concern.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
