Suggest Treatment For Weight Gain And Delayed Menstruation While Treating PCOD

I have been diagnosed with PCOD. I had gained further weight in the last two months and my periods are further delayed. I have taken Deviry 10mg for 5 days twice a day for 5 days . My last tablet was on Tuesday morning (15th Sept), I have still not got my periods. How long does it take to get periods after this medication. The last time I took, I got my periods in 7 days after completion of Deviry course. I can feel tenderness of breasts for the last 3-4 days.
Thanks!
weight reduction is important
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic.I understand your concern.
In my opinion PCOD is a routine condition seen these days due to change in lifestyle.
The deviry tablet is used for withdrawal bleeding in case of delayed period with negative urine pregnancy test.
The period is usually seen within 3-10 days after taking deviry tablet.
So as the last dose was on 15 th September there is still time for periods. The heavy breasts might be premenstrual symptom.
In PCOD there will be response to progesterone hormone. And deviry is nothing but progesterone hormone.
So relax.
Weight reduction is first and most important in PCOD.So adapt healthy lifestyle like exercise daily and healthy nutritional low calorie diet.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.

Deviry is progesterone supplement
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,i got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion usually the period comes within 3-10 days after finishing the deviry course, the period can be expected upto 25 th of september as the last dose was on 15 th.
Yes you might need to take another course of deviry if there is no period but its rare.
Because in pcod there is no ovulation there by no progesterone. But estrogen is sufficiently present to cause changes in endometruim. The progesterone which is supplemented from outside cause the required changes in endometrium leading to menstruation.
So relax and wait for the period.

I am also experiencing thick white vaginal discharge but odourless. Also drastic mood swings; feel quite low and high strung at some times of the day! Hope this is due to the hormonal meds? Sorry a little anxious!
Thanks!
