Well I haven't been taking "stuff" I was prescribed to take four tablets of Lortab 7.5. I took only two daily for six or seven years. I'm concerned that my stomach problems might be more serious due to length of time since I have taken any opiate, now three weeks ago.

Brief answer....though physical symptoms subside by couple of weeks but chronic symptoms like anxiety and depression may persist for many weeks to months
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and now clearly understand what you have taken and what further from now onwards
LORTAB has HYDROCODONE in it which is an opioid ,also called as narcotic.
Quitting HYDROCODONE results aching of muscles and joints, nausea, abdominal cramping, sweating etc in initial few days.
Most physical symptoms subside within 2 weeks, leaving psychological ones at forefront.
From here onwards anxiety and depression may linger on for many weeks to many months.
Different people behave differently to these psychological symptoms.
In case these problems become unmanageable, then it is better to consult doctors at REHAB centers.
As far as stomach issues are concerned, they never become serious and tend to become all right gradually.
Your cramps would go gradually. some people take long time to get rid of their physical symptoms. it all depends upon the length of time, person has taken opiates. longer the time one has consumed, longer it takes to come out.
don't worry and carry on as you would be all right soon.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
