Question: Left groin, upper thigh, pain comes on strong and can last up to a hour. Tylenol helps. It's been going on off and on for several weeks. Many days I have no symptoms. But when it comes on very strong. Not sure if this has anything to do with this but before all this started, I was getting severe XXXXXXX horses at night. That has been going on for a few months.

Brief Answer:
Could he hip Arthritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic surgeon.
You have pain in groin and upper thigh frequently which may last for upto one hour and is relieved by tylenol.
In my opinion the location , spread of pain and occasional nature of pain, point towards hip pathology or sacroiliiac joint pathology.
I would suggest mild anti inflammatory pain killers for 2-3 weeks . If there is no relief then go for X rays of hip and SI joints.
I hope I have answered your question. Please feel free to ask any further questions.
