Brief Answer: Heat + topical creams + oral pain medicines... Detailed Answer: Hi, If the bump is quite large, you need to see a doctor who might XXXXXXX this bump and drain it or incise it completely. If it is a small bump, you can use topical antiseptic creams such as neosporin to prevent further bacterial infection. Apply heat compresses and if needed use oral pain medicines such as ibuprofen 200mg twice daily after food. That should take care of pain. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards PS: I would avoid ibuprfen if you are allergic to it or have history of bronchial asthma

Brief Answer: Sure... You can take tylenol pm instead.. Detailed Answer: You can take tylenol pm if you don't have ibuprofen. But the question I would ask you is - is it hurting so badly. Try heat compresses and reassess the pain severity. If topical heat application doesn't change much you can take oral pain medicines. Hope I was able to address your concerns. Regards
