Suggest Treatment To Cure Swollen Tongue
Most likely Lisinopril related - STOP the tablet
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
A swollen tongue is an emergency situation that may cause airway obstruction, so please visit the ER if you have any respiratory distress.
Looking at your medication list, it is most likely related to your blood pressure tablet Lisinopril that is known to cause such bad swelling attacks.
You must take Cetirizine 10mg x 2 tablets, Wysolone 30mg stat with Rantidine 300mg that will prevent such build up od oedema (swelling).
The Lisinopril must be changed to some other family of antihypertensives, that your doctor should decide. Do not take the lisinopril family of drugs.
It does not matter how long you have taken the drug as this is NOT a drug allergy but a build up of chemicals that cause swelling attacks when you are on Lisinopril.
Best Wishes.
