Suggest Treatment To Prevent Cyst Growth In The Labia

Question: I had a cyst last week on the hairline of my labia and this week two more have poped up on the crease of my leg and one where the button on my pants sit. Is there something i can do to prevent more of them from coming up? Is it something im eating?

Brief Answer: Avoid shaving against grain/tight clothing Detailed Answer: Hi there. Thanks for writing in to HCM & understand your concern. To answer your last question first..NO it has nothing to do with anything you are eating. I would suggest 2 things that may be of help to 'prevent' this : Avoid shaving against the grain (by this I mean shave/wax etc in the direction of the hair) & avoid wearing tight fitting undergarments/jeans etc. As for the prevalent cysts, they may resolve with oral intake of an antibiotic & ant-inflammatory (my personal choice would be Metronidazole & Ibuprofen both taken in a dose of 400mg three times daily over a 5 day period after meals). This may require a prescription from the ER & alternatively the cysts may need excision if unresponsive to medications. Trust this information will have helped you. Good Luck & take care. Cheers!
