Question: Hello sir,
My father got his Bypass surgery in 2005 and his functioning rate is 35% after operation and its the same now also. We went for a regular checkup the doctor said it wont increase its rate. About you should maintain it correctly. All the reports where normal. He feels tired when he walks for hour. Is this a normal condition. Doctor said to do angiogram but later he said its ok maintain it. Have a good deit

My doubt is Can you suggest some methods to increase his rate to normal person. he has no other problems. Please advice it.
Thank you.

Please provide more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I appreciate your concern for your father.
35% functioning of heart is towards lower side of normal functioning of heart.
Exercise tolerance can be increased by step by step increase in intensity and duration of the exercises.

However if you can provide me more details so that I will be able to tell you more accurately
Any medical documents related to by pass surgery,
Why he underwent by pass surgery?
Please upload me a latest echocardiography report.

Please write back to me with these so that I will be able to tell you more precisely
Waiting for your reply
Best wishes

Please consider these guidelines

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again and thanks for the details
Once heart functioning decreases, it can be augmented with certain drugs like digoxin group of drugs and regular check up by a cardiologist.

In my opinion you should book an appointment with a cardiologist in your city with all the medical documents and reports, for physical examination and further course of action.

Another way is to doing exercise and rest at various length if time, gradually he can increase the duration and intensity of exercise, best way of doing is walking or swimming.

Hope this answers your question
Please feel free to ask for follow up
