Suggest Ways To Conceive Post A Pectoralis Major Repair
Question: My husband had pectoral muscle surgery which required a chest X-ray and an MRI about a month ago. He suffered complications and was diagnosed with pulmonary embolisms. He had a chest X-ray and a ct scan. Would you reccomend waiting 2 sperm cycles to try to conceive? Or would it be safe to try sooner?

Only radiation that is above the threshold of 5 Gy pose real risk to the sperm cells. The CT scan radiations deliver doses ranging from 0.03 to 0.05 Gy in the area where the CT scan is performed.
Also, if the CT scan is not performed in the pelvic region, the amount of radiation that gets to the reproductive system is very low, sometimes under 0.001 Gy.
The same is and for Chest X-ray .
Consequently, a single CT scan test with Chest X-Ray will not affect the quality of sperm in any way.
Hence you can try to conceive when you want.
