Question: I currently work in law enforcement as a 50 year old woman and I am at my wits ends at trying to figure out how to deal with this menapause. I cant deal with three years of insane hot flashes, depression, forgetfullness; cloudy very cloudy thinking, inability to get anything done both in my personal and my business life and last but not least, having hot flashes to a very very bad extent 24 hours 7 days per week, not just at night like other women get. I just dont know what to do.

Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Welcome back to Health care magic.com. Noted your concern.
In your last question, you had mentioned that you had an abnormal Thyroid function test. Did you repeat the test and if so, what is the report ?

Did you do an FSH level?

Menopause can be distressing for few people. Sometimes, thyroid issues and anxiety/depression worsen these symptoms.

It is helpful to take low dose estrogen/progesterone combination for 1-2 years if you have lot of hot flushes. However, we need to check your fasting blood sugar, Lipid profile before stating treatment. Also need to do a mammogram and Cervical smaer before taking hormone pills. ( it is important to rule out cervical and breast cancer before startinghormonal pills

Drugs like Pregabalin an Duloxetine also may help to alleviate the menopausal symptoms.

Evening Primrose oil ( you get in all pharmacies ) and Soya bean etc contain natural estrogen which is beneficial.

Kind regards
Binu
