Suggest Ways To Lose Weight

1) I'm a pretty overweight guy (5'8" , 245lbs) but I just started going back to the gym to lose weight. I did barbell squats about a week ago (totaling 65lbs) and was fine. I did a warm up few today with just the 45 bar and all of the sudden, my left upper inner thigh is hurting pretty bad, particularly when I squat all the way down or stretch that muscle, but it feels like the muscle is really tense/crampy as opposed to straight torn. Does this sound like a tear or like tense muscle that just might've not been worked out properly?
2) The other is, along with going to the gym, I radically changed my diet. Cut out breads, sodas, bad meats, and dramatically increased veggies, fruits, and white meats, along with potion controlling. Is it true that a dramatic change like this can result in feeling ill/like crap?
3) My shoulder started hurting out of absolutely nowhere, didn't work it out or anything (not that i remembe at least). Its still fully functional, just a noticeable pain in certain positions. Is it normal for something like a shoulder to just get sore on occasion like this? Maybe from sleeping wrong or something..
Stop gym at once.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your query.
First thing I want to explain you is don't go to gym for weight reduction, gym is not a place to loose weight especially by weight lifting and that too without coach or trainer etc.
Now I will come to your points, you should stop doing any type of weightlifting whether its light weight or heavy weight.
Your body needs rest and medication.
For thigh muscle I advise you to have MRI SCAN if its paining still after stopping exercise after 7 days other wise not need to have it, usually it seems if any tear is present or fatigue it heals within 7 days.
You have already modified your diet, that is good, but have fruit and juice alone will not help in recovery, add a little bit of nonveg also like egg etc, have vitamin B complex tablets etc.
Apart from sleeping pattern correction, if you take rest for 7 days shoulder will also become alright.
Have tab aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside combination twice a day by prescription of your doctor,as this medicine is not over the counter.
After 7 days start aerobic exercise and yoga for weight reduction.
It will definitely help you.
I hope you got the point.
Thanks,
