Suggest Ways To Manage Pain After Bilateral Patella Femoral Joint Replacement Surgery

Question: 7 weeks ago I had bilateral patella femoral joint replacement. I am 74 otherwise fit and healthy my progress has been excellent and I have pretty good mobility. But I am in so much pain from the op and now my chronic back problem has kicked in. I had a steroid injection in th e back (L3/L4) before the op hoping this would forestall any problem which it did for a few weeks. Right now I can't tell you which area is worse. Despite trebling my dosage of diclofenac to 150 per day over the past 10 days there is only a small improvement in the knees and almost none in the back. Neither my GP nor I am happy about that dosage but neither naproxen nor ibuprofen help at at and my stomach object to co coda mol. Have you any suggestions how I get through this. Are there other drugs that will help with the pain and is Arcoxia the same as diclofenac? I do hope you might be able to offer some comfort

Opioids
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query
You can try opioids like Tablet Tramadol 300mg twice a day or Buprenorphine patches for much better and effective pain relief. They will need prescription from your Doctor.
I am sure you will find better pain relief with them.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
