Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting HCM,
If your menses have not started yet and its been delayed for 4 days already , then it is suggested that you wait for 3 more days and perform a urine pregnancy test . If the test is negative then you can safely wait for another 7 days to allow your menses to resume naturally . If the menses still don't return , then you may opt for progesterone withdrawal with progestins to resume your menses.
Then you can take ,
TAB MEDROXY PROGESTERONE ACETATE 10mg twice a day for 5 days .. and then your withdrawal bleed should start within 7-10 days of finishing the last tablet.
I hope i have answered your query,
regards

Thanks Doc. Just a curiosity why do you suggest me to wait for 3days to do upt?
Is 7 days late normal?
Is 7 days late normal?
Brief Answer:
upt after 3 days due to adequate hcg levels to be detected.
Detailed Answer:
hello,
A menstrual cycle of 23-35 days is considered normal though. But for a urine pregnancy test to be sensitive, it is always on the 7th post period day onwards when hcg levels increase to 1500IU in case of pregnancy and then can be detected easily.
So ideally wait for 3 more days and perform upt to check the outcome.

yesterday evening I had papya juice and I ate half papya boiled in dinner. and did heavy exercise at night. and today early morning menses started. Should I have to check my TSH level?
From my girlhood it had never happened before so I ask you. last month it came 4days early this month 5 days late. Should I have to check my TSH level?

Brief Answer:
tsh not required at present...explained
Detailed Answer:
hello,
it seems someone scared you of pregnancy and you started with papaya and exercise to initiate menses. In a way its good that your menses have started . It is not likely due to TSH levels .
Its a single episode and you should ideally wait for 3 months and understand your menstrual pattern. If the pattern continues then you would require to undertake a complete hormonal profile which shall include thyroid investigations as well.
