Question : Iam using restyle 1mg daily 4 tabs iam habituated for this drug. How can i stop this. . And i want to use anxinil0.5 insted of using restyle. Pls suggest iam i doing right thing?

I have read your query and understand your concern.
First of all you should know that both RESTYL and ANXINIL are same. They both contain alprazolam which is a benzodiazepine.
When the person abuses benzodiazepine then his mind as well as body ,both become dependent on it. If withdrawn cold turkey,it leads to severe withdrawal symptoms like convulsions and high blood pressure. It can even lead to depression as well fits of paranoia or rage,anxiety,insomnia,panic attacks,nightmares etc.
Ideally you should consult a de addiction specialist and withdraw from this drug under his guidance and supervision.
However I can tell you the way it can be withdrawn. You can try it and if unsuccessful,then you would definitely need to go to a de addiction specialist or some de addiction centre.
Withdraw by 25 percent every 3-4 weeks.
It means you start using 3 mg now in the dose of .75 mg 4 times a day.
After a month you can come down to 2 and then 1 and then to .75 to .5 and then to .25.
It would take few months but it should work.
In addition drink plenty of water,avoid alcohol and coffee.
May take paracetamol or ibuprofen for the body aches one suffers during this period.
