Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

As far as medications for insomnia go, these are the safest medications available. They are non-addictive, with essentially no side effects, and are very effective. However, if you want to stop them, you can simply stop taking them, as there is no withdrawal associated with these medications at these doses.

The info sheet on escitalopram says to not staking this drug all of a sudden - you may have a greater risk of side effects. It says the same about trazadone. that is the reason for my original question - how to safely stop taking them?

Detailed Answer:
The package inserts of medications often contain phrasing like this for legal purposes. In reality, these is no risk of side effects or withdrawal for simply stopping trazodone and escitalopram for the vast, vast majority of people. I stop these medications at these doses with patients all the time, and they are fine. I advise the same for you.
