Brief Answer:
Gradual tapering for drug will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking from HCM

Trazodon is a good anti-depressant drug. But in recent times it is mainly used in conditions of poor sleep. You have been taking the drug doses of 200 mg per night and you can't sleep without medicines.

Best way to get off from this medicine is to stop its use by gradually tapering the dose of drug. Abruptly missing a dose result in rebound insomnia and withdrawal syndrome.

As per my opinion decrease the doses gradually every 2 week. Decrease about 20-25% doses every 2 weeks and the stop the dose completely over 6-8 weeks. You can start taking about 150 mg for next 2 weeks and then if sleep remains normal decrease the doses further to 100-125 mg and in the same way decrease the doses every 2 weeks. This is the method I usually follow in my clinic.

In this way you can get off from this drug. Consult your psychiatrist if problems persist.

Thanks, you can ask again if you have more doubts.
