Taking Susten To Regulate Menstruation. Safe To Take Expired Medicine?
Question: Hi I have Susten 200 tablets that are basically progestrone tablets for regulating menstruation. If it expired in February 2013, is it still safe to take now?
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
It is not advisable to consume or use the expired Susten tablets. These may be associated with a decreased response to the medicine, increased side effects, allergic reactions, etc.
It is best to consult your gynecologist for fresh prescription or use a birth control pill to regularize your periods.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
