Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i just finished my period and was supposed to start taking my pills again on friday but i decided to wait another week to start the pills because I don t want to have my period on vacation in april. Is that ok to do or should I wait till I finish my next period?
Ideally you were just supposed to take your pills as usual but then move on to a fresh pack without taking a pill break to avoid bleeding. By delaying to start taking a new pack you may de-stabilize your hormonal balance and make bleeding pattern less predictable please start taking your pills as soon as possible and just carry on taking them back to back until after the holidays.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Wisdom Chuma, General & Family Physician
