Hi Doctor,
I am very happy that your health is better after your successful angioplasty.
I would like to advice you few things.
1. Healthy life style-maintain a healthy lifestyle.Avoid sedentary lifestyle.
2. Diet-Keep fatty foods away. Don't eat oily foods which are XXXXXXX in cholesterol. Try to avoid XXXXXXX fried items. Fish is better among non vegetarian food. Lot of vegetables in diet is advised. Fish oil can be consumed.
3. Exercise-daily regular exercise is better. At least daily walking is necessary. Brisk walking is better and you should sweat during walking.
4. Drugs-don't forget to take any medication.
5. Strict control of diabetes is required
6. Stay away from tobacco/smoking if any.
7. Regular health check up at least once in six months.
I wish you all the best with regards to your health.
You can contact me again if you have any other questions.
Regards.

Answered by Dr. Nisarga (36 hours later)
Hi Doctor,
As I already described to you, kindly avoid fat XXXXXXX foods.
But there are some good fatty foods also. Canola or rapeseed oil can be consumed. Avocado is a great replacement for butter on a sandwich. Nuts which can be eaten whole or processed is healthy.
Oily fish such as salmon, tuna or mackere can be consumed.
Butter, the fat on meats, fatty meat products, full fat dairy food should be avoided which contain bad fat(saturated fatty acids).
Take frequent small meals which is very important in control of diabetes.
Do not eat salty food. Avoid pickle. This helps in controlling your blood pressure.
Hope you are happy with my answer.
All the best again.
Regards.

Hello again,
Yes, you don't have to stay away from sex with your wife. It is safe and not harmful.
When I see your lipid profile, you have maintained it within proper range.
Your HbA1C is just above the normal limit, although it is not too high, means to say that your diabetes control is good.
You can add lemon to the soup.
You can use moderate quantity of avocado. Low fat milk is recommended. Brown or white sugar is your choice.
Good luck.

Hi Doctor,
I will try to answer all your queries.
You can very well travel in car or any other transport. Even if you drive also there is no problem.
7-8 hours of sleep per day is adequate.
Ticks and such infrequent abnormal movements are commonly seen in general population, do not bother about it.
Calcium and vitamin supplement is not required unless medically indicated.
Omega 3 fatty acids are good supplements for heart.
Have a healthy heart.
Regards.

Hi Doctor,
Whatever diet you are following is excellent. There is no modification required.
Only advice to you is try to reduce the weight little more. I would suggest atleat 6 to 8 Kgs to be reduced further. Best way to reduce weight is to do some sort of exercise/aerobic work out/going to the gym.
Your blood pressure is under control. Walking pattern is good. Sleeping is adequate.
Hope you are satisfied with all my answers.
Good luck.

Hi,
Omega 3 fatty acids are very good for healthy heart and it also reduces your triglycerides level which is beneficial.
Coenzyme q 10 maintains a good cardiovascular system.
One more supplement which I can suggest you is L-carnitine. It is an antioxidant and will protect your heart. Find out the brand name of this product in your country. Nucarnit is one of the brands, although there are many.
