Brief Answer:
Reduce drug dosage, monitor, opinion of Dr

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

Headaches are a common side effect of this drug. Considering the fact that you have had a series of Transient Ischaemic Attacks (TIAs), the drug is for sure very beneficial for you.

It is however imperative, considering the side effects you are experiencing to reconsider the dosage of this drug. I would suggest the dose of the drug be reduced. taking the drug once daily could be a good starting point as you monitor any other side effects. If you continue reacting to this dose, it might be needed at some point that you change the drug choice completely. Low dose aspirin alone could be an option. The opinion of your Doctor would be however required.

I suggest you reduce the dose of the drug now to once daily, watch for any side effects, and seek the opinion/book an appointment with your treating physician. Kind regards.
