What Are Symptoms Of UTI?
Question: Hello,
I believe I had a uti or maybe still do?
I had the burning/stinging/itchy syptoms. for about 2 weeks.
then I developed bloated stomach and lower back pains quite bad. for only 1 day though.
when woke up felt like it went away,
Now the burning when urinating is mild compared to how it was. and back pain is mild as same for itching.
But I have developed a runny nose? as at work today I got asked if ive got a cold?
im thinking maybe ive developed sepsis?
starting to worry now, I was gonna try clear my uti with D-Mannose , as currently waiting on it with the dipstick tests.
do you think its actually spread to kidneys and sepsis?

Hello Mr, I understand your concern. I am Dr. Arun Tank & I am infectious disease specialist. I am going to answer your concern.
- Sepsis is not characterised by running nose. Also if the patient is in sespsis he/she is not in a condition to go to office. So do not worry for sepsis put your quesion about sepsis to the side, there is no such problem with you. I think running nose is because of common cold infection and it will taken care with paracetamol, chlorpheniramine maleate.
-Now considering your second problem that your symptoms has somewhat subsided but it is still present in such a situation I advice you to think about laboratory tests you should think of urine for Gram's staining, and for culture sensitivity with urinary antibiotics. Once the report available to you start the most sensitive antibiotic with. Till that time continue with the previous antibiotics.
-You can also think for urinary alkalinizing agent. It will helps you a lot in treatment. Drink lots of water that will flush out the bacteria from your urinary systems.

thank you for the quick reply to my concerns.
ive not been to my local doctors about this yet so I havnt had any antibiotics yet as I did want to clear it naturally.
Do you think uti can be caused from anal feces? from tear? that causes the infection?
yes ive drank lots of water, and tried cranberry juice.

I think you should atleast think for norfloxacin once the sensitivity reports are available, thereafter you can switch to sensitive drugs.
If your urinary system have been constantly in contact with feces it may cause you UTI.
Tears wont cause UTI.
