Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Staphylococcus can affect foetus and your health but giving my opinion I would like to ask a few questions from you.
It is a routine investigation or you are having fever, urinary symptoms etc.?
Can you please upload the report?
Are you having any other medical conditions?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
Regards

I got infected in my vagina, i pee a lot but i assumed because im pregnant..no pain during urinatinating, no fever, what should i do as my c section will be next week thank you
Actually i had the swab test was because i want to check whether i have group b strep in my vagina, cause at first i want to give birth naturally, but the the result showed that i have staphylococcus harmolyticcus and i wasn't sure if it's really gonna be affecting my baby's health.

Brief Answer:
Yes,it may affect you and your baby health.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for the very long delay in my response.
As you are having staphylococcus infection it can affect you and your baby,I t can cause heavy bleeding, premature delivery, low birth weight ,high blood pressure etc.
In normal delivery as baby passes through birth canal it may get infection from vagina.
So you should consult your treating physician and take treatment accordingly.
Chances of infection are more when labour is prolonged, premature rupture of membrane occurs.
But to avoid it you should treat yourself with antibiotics as advice by your doctor and sometimes your newborn require antibiotics accordingly.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.
Good luck.

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal (6 hours later)
Brief Answer:
It is showing streptococcus infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Yes,I have gone through your reports and it is showing staphylococcus haemolyticus and you are having frequency of urination ( though you are not having other symptoms of urinary tract infection).
Asymptomatic bacteriuria should be treated during pregnancy with antibiotics ( as in your case) to avoid premature delivery and low birth weight baby.
So if I could be your treating doctor I would suggest antibiotics to treat infection( which are safe during pregnancy) to prevent future outcomes.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.

Brief Answer:
Yes,it is staphylococcus haemolyticus.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for the delay and my previous mistake which I have done in my previous discussion.
Yes,you are infected with staphylococcus haemolyticus and treatment should be done after culture and sensitivity.
So you should consult a Gynecologist and get your swab culture and sensitivity test done and took antibiotic according to your culture and sensitivity report( antibiotic which is safe during pregnancy) .
Yes antibiotic will not affect your c- section.
Hope it is useful.
Good luck.
