What Are The Chances Of HIV Transmission Through Oral Sex?

Question: Hello there. I am terrified. I recently performed oral sex on a man I just met - brief with no ejaculation. The next morning I noticed what I think was a small cancre sore (healed the very next day). I do not know if it was there when I took his penis in my mouth or if it formed after. I understand that precum can contain the HIV virus but that the mouth is not a "hospitable" environment for HIV. What are my chances of contracting HIV if the man I was with was infected?
Brief Answer:
HIV transmission by oral sex is low.HIV through Precum remote possibility.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for posting your query.
Anal sex and vaginal sex are having relatively high risk for HIV. The HIV transmission risk with vaginal penetrative sex is around 4-8 per 10000 exposures as per CDC, XXXXXXX Oral sex has a low risk for HIV transmission. That too, your partner did not ejaculate. Precum do have occasional viral particles. But the chance of getting infection is remote. So you need not worry much. Anyhow it is better to have a HIV test after 3 months and ascertain yourself that you are free from both HIV 1 and 2 infection to make your self comfortable and tension free.
