What Are The Chances Of An HIV Infection Post An Oral Sex?
Question: hello doctor,i had oral sex 2 days ago with a female student and i rubbed my penis head into her vagina without using a condom also i tried to enter it fully into her vagina but i failed, so my penis head was little bit inside her vagina wall and was fully covered with her vagina fluid ..iam really worried if iam still at risk of catching hiv. also is going into pep(post exposure prophylaxis) to prevent hiv safe for me ?and does it have side effects? ..looking forward for your answer .

There is a risk of HIV and other STD transmission since there was unprotcted contact between your genital organs and fluids,but this risk is minor. It would be the best to check her status and if she is positive, you should have prophylaxis. If you cant find it out, then you have to decide about further actions. HIV test is recommended after 2 weeks, and prophylaxis should be discussed with infectologist. If you ask me, I dont think this is required if she was not in high risk population.
