What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy While On Novelon?

Question: dr. i had last period on 4th XXXXXXX .then i have started taking novelon on 13 th XXXXXXX .i had sex on 24 th XXXXXXX .is that any chance to get pregnant? if no then when will my period start ? after taking 21 pills? or on normal 3rd or 4rth feb?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Novelon or any contraceptive pill should started within 5 days of the start of periods for effective contraceptive efficacy.
Since you started it on day 10, it will not provide effective contraception, and hence chances of pregnancy are there.
Usually the periods come when the 21 pills are over, however if they don't come in your case, thenyou sshould get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm the diagnosis.
