Brief Answer:
Severe side effects will be observed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking again and providing detail.

If a person take Risperidone by mistake then one can see side effects like sedation, dizziness, brain fog etc. In high doses there will be rapid heartbeats, low blood pressure, sedation, drowsiness, rarely coma. Extrapyramidal side effects as akathesia, restlessness, tremors, parkinsonian side effects, dystonias etc can be seen in high doses or in toxic range. Dystonia (sudden contractions of a muscle group) in respiratory system or in laryngeal area may result in fatal outcome.

Over all risperidone is a safe drug and even 20-40 mg doses usually don't result in fatalities. However to avoid undue illeffects it is advisable to take the drug only under medical supervision.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Ask again for more doubts.

Can you get brain fog with taking 6 mg of risperidone and 136 mg of i vega shot? Will that be a high enough dosage to get brain fog?

Answered by Dr. Seikhoo Bishnoi (4 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Should be avoided

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for asking again.

Even in a person who never took risperidone, it can cause brain fog and significant dizziness along with precipitation of extra pyramidal side effects on 6 mg doses. This may prove harmful. Taking both medicines at this doses can prove poisonous.

Thanks, consult your psychiatrist for any dose adjustments in your prescription.
