What Are The Long Term Side Effects Of Ranexa?
Question: What are the dangers of prolonged use of Ranexa? My husband was put on ranexa and by stolic . XXXXXXX was suppose to be on them for 3 weeks before having heart catherazation and one week after. Somehow records were not clear and he was on them for 3 1/2 years. During which time he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Could that have a negative effect on his health?

Usually Ranexa doesn't cause lung fibrosis. It's major side effect may be arrhythmia, but it is not mandatory even if it is taken for long time.
From medications lung fibrosis may be side effect of Amiodaron, if he was taking Amiidaron for a long time as well. If not, then it is not caused by medications.
