Brief Answer:
LDL elevated - Life style changes /and may be drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Normal ranges are already given in your report!
And the stated range is correct
Your LDL-C is high – others are normal

There are subdivisions of cholesterol – LDL, HDL, and so on.
HDL is good cholesterol – higher, the better.
LDL is bad cholesterol – lower, the better.
In the absence of any other risk factor, 100 is ideal for LDL-C. In the presence of other diseases (especially Diabetes and/or established heart disease), 70 should be the aim.

Keep your weight to normal / even a little less
Quit smoking, if you are a smoker
Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / XXXXXXX sweets are made in ghee.../ Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil.

Repeat the test in 2 to 3 months.

Cholesterol can still be high, in spite of diet and exercise – you need drugs; because it is also manufactured in the liver – and that is determined by heredity. Statin is the first choice. Some start it straight away – even with normal levels, even without problems (Primary Prophylaxis)

Good luck
God bless you

Thanks for your detailed explanation. I had a momentarily (lasting 2 secs) pain in left side of chest and after that it was fine. On doctor's recommendation I had undergone ECG, 2D Echo & Trade Mill Test (TMT). All these reports were normal. Then he suggested to go for Lipid Profile test whose report I've shared earlier.

In the brief answer, you mentioned "LDL elevated - Life style changes /and may be drugs". I wanted your opinion on should I go for medication for controlling the cholesterol ? or is it fine with the lifestyle changes you mentioned such as Walk, Jogging, low cholesterol diet etc. Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
Drugs needed - in addition

Detailed Answer:
Hi

This level is a bit higher and is unlikely to be controlled by life style changes alone
You NEED to take drugs

The drugs are in ADDITION to life style changes / not instead of it

For a long life, the drug should be taken LIFELONG - because they treat the problem, not its cause

Can you suggest some medicine for the time being (for 2~3 days) for it. As it'll take some time to get an appointment with doctor.

Brief Answer:
Please WAIT!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Relax / This is not an emergency / There is no need to hurry! / Take your time!

The drug should only be prescribed by your physician / You need to have follow up

There are several classes of drugs and several drugs in each class.
The usual drug is a statin / there are several of them – typical time tested one is Atorvastatin; starting dose is generally 20mg – but may go up to 80mg. / if repeat-test after 2 or 3 months show elevation, the doctor may increase the dose or add another drug – usually Ezetimibe (the usual dose is 10 mg)
