Brief Answer:
Most common side effect is fever

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to the HCM

After DPT vaccination the child may experience fever, soreness, and some swelling and redness in the area where the shot was given. Depending on the child's age, pain and fever may be treated with acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Usually they subside within 48 hours of vaccination.

Application of damp cloth and ice pack over the site of injection also helps to decrease the discomfort.

In rare instances, child may suffer from complications or severe side effects after immunization, including seizures, fever above 105°F (40.5°C), difficulty breathing or other signs of allergy, shock or collapse, or uncontrolled crying for more than 3 hours. Parents should immediately contact Paediatrician or ER in such cases.

Hopefully this will be helpful to you.
Take care
