What Are The Repercussions Of Accidental Double Dosage Of Metoprolol?
Question: I am prescribed metropolol 25 mg to take 1.5 tablets twice daily. I mistakenly took two whole tablets this morning. should I be concerned? I take it for PAC.
Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about!
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that there is nothing to worry about.
You have taken two tablets of Metoprolol, that is 50 mg and this is a normal dosage in many cardiac patients.
So, you shouldn't be concerned about that.
Furthermore, your recommended Metoprolol daily dosage is at the lower recommended level.
Hope to have been helpful to you!
In case of any further uncertainties, feel free to ask me again.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
