Question: I am prescribed 120 MG Cardizem - name brand - once per day. I took my dose this am. Iaccidently took another one this evening. Will that have any adverse effects? I also take sotalol 80 MG/day and lisinopril 5 mg per day. I will tell other meds if necessary. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Less likely to produce any adverse effects but be cautious

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
I have gone through your query.

Cardizem is diltiazem, calcium channel blocker. How long you have been on this.

It doesn't have any interaction with lisinopril. But using diltiazem and sotalol together may lead to increased side effects. This can cause fatigue, headache, fainting, weight gain, shortness of breath, chest pain. Observe for this side effects, in case they appear it is better to see doctor.

Now, two tablets of diltiazem is less likely to cause any serious side effects as such; but I would suggest you to be cautious and watch for any effects mentioned above.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
