What Are The Repercussions Of The Accidental Ingestion Of Nasivion?

Question: My kid is of 3 years 10 months. Accidentally he drunk nasivion 0.025% (oxynetazoline hydrochloride) ,10 ml bottle (approximately 6 ml was there in the bottle), approximately before 2 hours. I just visited pediatrician here locally but not got any information on its side effects. Could you please provide the side effects of it or any suggestions on what to do ?

exactly 30minutes before consuming nasivision.he ate 1small banana and 2 slice bread.After taking him to nearby children specialist the doctor suggested to give sucrafil o gel.HE went to potty after coming from hospital.Till how many hours he needs to be under observation.Its been 3 hours he has consumed nasivision .The child is active till now.His weight is 33kgs.

Thanks for writing back with an update.

Having banana and two slices of bread 30 minutes before consumption of medication might cause decreased absorption. You can give him sucrafil gel. It is good to know that he is active right now and hope he continues to remain active. He should be closely observed for first 12 hours and then for another 12 hours. If he is normal at the end of 24 hours then he is unlikely to have any serious complications. I will suggest you please observe him till Monday morning to be certain.

His body weight is 33 kgs appears to be over weight. I would like to re confirm if the weight is 33 pounds or 15 kgs which is normal for age.
