What Are The Risks Of A Miscarriage After A Previous One?
Question: I am 26 years old. i had a miscarriage last year with no investigation just with huge abdominal pain and after 6 months of it again got pregnant. Not I am on mid of 5th month. In the third month i got NT and TV scan done where everything seems ok and the cervical length is 3.2.
Now when I have done anamoly scan in 19 weeks fifth month without TV scan it is showing 2.4. My doctor advised to go for cerclage but I prefered wait and watch for few days.
Please suggest me how critical it is. And any way to get the cervical length increase without surgery (cerclage). He has given three injections at three weeks proluton dipot 500 mg and tablet trilidan R.
Please guide me. I need this baby to be safe.

The cervical length of 2.4 cm is a borderline case. If your previous abortion was before 12 weeks then you should get a transvaginal scan done to know if the length of cervix is less than 2.5 cm. As i search on internet there are many cases where cervica lenght shows variation upon weeks. For few it showed 1 cm then also they go with full labor.
Any possibility or method or precaution that can increase this cervx length in few weeks.
I dont want this surgery risk at this 5th month.

You can help in closing the cervix by keeping two pillows under your legs while resting, avoid squatting, avoid any strenuous activity, avoid journeys, Do not climb stairs, do not lift heavy weights and avoid intercourse.

Is this injections safe? I got one yesterday and its still paining sensation is there on that area if i sleep.
So as you mentioned the tips to get the cervix closed if we follow with complete bed rest so hope me and my baby will be safe right.
