It is normal for your symptoms to slowly improve since the Botox injection isn’t effective immediately.
Botox injection alone is not effective for all fissure patients.
Most patients have a small amount of anal bleeding for up to 24 hours after the injection.
About 10% of patients have some mild flu-like symptoms (body aches, headaches) for 48 hours after the injection.
About 5% of patients notice an increase in passing gas. These symptoms resolve over time.
2. does botox stay where injected? does it ever leave the body?
After 3-4 months Botox does clear out of your system. Botox stays only where injected, it does not roam through the body but attaches to the muscles where injected and subsequently disintegrates.
