Brief Answer:
Initially prescribed for at least 6 months.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am,
Good evening.
I can understand your concern regarding the duration of the treatment for arthritis.

Cartigen capsule is a nutritional supplement (Glucosamine) which helps in the production of the cartilage that prevents further damage in joints affected by osteoarthritis.
Assuming that you have osteoarthritis (due to age related degeneration of the articular cartilage), this medication can be taken without any problem for 6 months. After that you can stop it. In case you feel the problem with your cartilage again then you can consider taking it again after that.

Following are the side effects of Cartigen:
Heartburn, diarrhea, nausea, indigestion, constipation, abdominal pain, palpitations, drowsiness, skin reaction, headache and indigestion.

Hope this answers your query.

Best regards.
