What Are The Side Effects Of Clobazam?

Question: dear sir,
my nMy son (14 year old)has sufferer from epilepsy and last seizure was 24.02.2015 and total seizure counting is five. as per neurologist prescription we give him clobazam 5 mg tab one daily at night from one year. so i want to know, what side effect of clobazam tablet.

I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I understand your concerns for your son,however,I must add straight forward here that there is no significant side effect of clobazam except drowsiness.Some of the patients might develop confusion,ataxia(imbalance) and weight gain.Besides,on long term use,patients usually develop tolerance to the antiepileptic effects of clobazam. So,this is not frequently used on long term basis.
